Worship at St Elisabeths
Throughout the year, as we gather on Sundays, we remember the Christian story of salvation. We celebrate the birth of Jesus (Christmas), his teachings and actions, his passion, death and resurrection (Easter), and the founding of the Church through his giving of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost).
Our worship is full of symbols of God-with-us: music, silence, Bible readings, and prayer for the world.
We gather, young and old, around the altar in communion with God and with each other, before we are sent out to show God’s love in the world.
During the week we pray together, meet to socialize and visit the housebound and the sick.

Evensong/ Eucharist
On the first Tuesday of a month we gather for Evensong or to celebrate the Eucharist. We alternate each month.
These take place in the Chancel of the church. Both last around 45 minutes.
Bible Study
On the second Tuesday of a month, we have our monthly Bible Study group.
Come and join this group if you’d like to learn how to read the Bible with a greater understanding. It starts at 7.30pm amd ends at 8.45pm. We meet in the Lady Chapel.
Taize
On the 4th Tuesday of the month we gather together for Taizé style worship. The service typically takes place in the Lady Chapel at 7:30pm.
A Taizé worship service involves sung and chanted prayers in many different languages, meditation, a period of silence and liturgical readings.
The Taizé community is an ecumenical monastic order based in France with a strong devotion to peace and justice through prayer and meditation. Prayer and silence are at the heart of the Taizé experience and our monthly service attempts to bring some of the elements of this community to Reddish.
