Funerals

Sadly, families need to use the church to remember the death of a loved one, so Memorial Services and Funerals take place here. Our team aim to provide help and guidance to bereaved families, to help them prepare and plan a fitting tribute.

In the first instance a member of our Clergy will come and visit you at your home if possible and listen to your ideas and hopes.  It may be that your loved one has left specific instructions and as far as we are able we will try to afford all that you ask.  Anyone who lives in the parish of Reddish is entitled to have a service at St. Elisabeth’s.

In addition to holding a funeral or memorial service at St. Elisabeth’s, ashes can be interred in our Garden of Remembrance by request. A few weeks after the funeral you may like to attend a short service when your loved one’s ashes can be interred.  A Book of Remembrance is also kept in St. Elisabeth’s.

If you have any questions about the funeral service or, more importantly, would like to speak to someone regarding a bereavement please contact St.Elisabeths
